note: to whoever came up with the idea to name a language Flemish... BAD IDEA. No offence to belgian people, I mean, it's not the words. Just the name. :)


Anyway, back to business. On Monday I am off to Belgium/France for a school trip to the battlefields. Although people I know who have gone on it say it is boring, we all know one of the perks of having Amy on the trip means it cannot be boring.

So it's almost the end of the school year and I'm sitting here at 10 at night baking in the sun which I cannot tolerate and wondering how in the heck I will deal with the weather on the trip.

I get back on wednesday evening and then the next day is my Latin test which I WILL fail and have to get 70% in to do Latin next year. This sucks. :'(

It'll be interesting because we are visiting cemeteries and we have been told to wear suitable clothes, this level of heat + girls from my school = no regard for this rule.

It will be fun to see how the teachers react anyhow.

I might post again before I go. Maybe.

Barcelona Part II!

So this part, is where I, go to Montserrat, which is a, place where, they use, excessive  commas incorrectly, YAY,!

So Montserrat is a mountain in Spain, we went up in a vernacular and it was pretty damn awesome.
I stole the picture as I havent uploaded my own yet.

SO anyway, on this mountain there is a monastery and I think it's a kind of pilgrimage place because literally hundreds of people were queuing up to do something special inside.

What was that something special? It was, as you guessed (sarcasm) kissing a black Madonnas foot.

Before you say WTF, let me explain. :)

Basically, Madonna is like the spanish Virgin Mary, and this one happened to be a black statue. Now all of it is in a glass case, except it's foot, which pokes out. People have been coming for hundreds of year to kiss the foot, and so many have that it is actually eroded from kissing.

Now I wouldn't touch the thing because germs, but people were leaving their wedding dresses and giving their stuff to the statue so it must have been pretty darn special.

Still not Barcelona!

I know, I know. :)

But, guess what! Next week I have a party, and not just any party, AKFB's party! Her blog is anotherkindafashionblog.blogspot.com! So anyway, she said we have to wear dresses so I am wearing my h&m dress!
It's got aztec inspired designs, and is really skater skirt-y at the bottom.

It is being modelled by a obviously famous model gosh.

I went shopping!

So I know, this isn't:

So, on with the show.


I went shopping with my mum, who is the best person to go shopping with because she spends more money on me than she gives me if I go with my friends.

Firstly, I got vans because my annoying brother was getting vans annd I was like "I want some" so I got some.

I think they're pretty cool and they're from Schuh and they're called Vans Authentic Vii Multi Pop so yeah.

Thiis model person is wearing both shorts and a top I got which is handy because less effort yay! I thinks it's quite a fun top. :) 

That is me in the above photo because I couldn't find them on the h&m website because h&m are useless but it's a cool monkey top and a faded...but more faded in real life denim top thing.

This is a cool vans bag I got, its good at holding stuff. 

These are some cool cargo style shorts I got. I also got a black pair but they are lost now. :( hehe.

Hi!

So last night I arrived home in the evening and had a Indian take away.

Spanish and I know it

So I'm not Spanish... BUT I am going to Spain!
For a week!
In Barcelona!
With some friends and my mum and brother. So that will be fun.

Freckles and Sick Days

Freckles and sick days have one thing in common, you either have them and hate them or lack them and want them.

To make that clearer, and to clarify, I will explain it like this.

I have a lot of freckles. I do not like them. People regularly say to me, "You are SO lucky, I wish I had freckles." This is similar to sick days, because although I'm not a person who is usually sick, (today being an exception), there are some people who are. And these people do not like sick days because they are sick but people who have the fortune to be healthy want a day off because they are not sick.

I think that it's just part of being human to always want what you haven't got and loathe what you have and so today I am writing to say that be happy you have skin, however it looks, and be happy to not be at home bored to death feeling ill.

I don't know, maybe you can't help those feelings. Maybe they're just instinct.

But where do we get them from? Because my dog seems happy...


Sorry for the long-winded meaningless post, I just wanted to un-boredify myself, if only for 15 minutes.

Introductions

So.

First post.

I guess this is the bit where I introduce myself.
And I think I'm meant to say what this blog is about.

But I don't know what it will be about.
So for now, I'll say this.

My name is Amy. I live in London. I have a dog and a pet rat. (Yes, it's not a typo. A pet rat.)
Right now I'm thirteen, but age changes so don't rely on that fact. The rest will hopefully stay true for a while yet.
I like animals. A lot.
I'm a vegetarian, I like to read. I don't like maths.
1+1= Yawnnnn.

I like drawing and listening to music and being able to say that I don't restrict myself to one genre of music. I like pretty much every genre.
(Okay, maybe not Jazz.)

I'm not sure what else to post, but I'm sure I'll figure something out, and post it later.
